better business blogging
how to blog about cakes?

I'm trying to decide whether or not to start my own business. im only 15, but I have taken classes and my teacher and my family, friends and teachers of the school that my cakes are fantastic. I'm starting to take off with my cakes, and with every cake I get better. I also I'm a fan of writing. and someday I want to combine my interests and make a career out of it:] from now on my high school counselor suggested I start my blog about cakes. I have no idea how to do, and blogging is where everyone I can comment / add your own or is it just me writing? and if you can help walking through me / links how to start a version I would much appreciate. In addition, I have yet to reach a name for my "business" any suggestions? I was thinking of something nice like Cake Diva but that is already taken. If you have any suggestions I'm all ears. Thank you very much! Love, Melanie

Having a business and create a blog are two totally different things. The blog is a simple thing … my 8 year old, has a blog pie (not added to it for a while, without embargo) http://littlemisscakemaker.blogspot.com/ Just think of a name and sign up with blogspot or blogger and is really easy to write it. You will need decide whether it wants only to present their work or post instructions on how to do things. About starting a business, first you have to do is call the department health where you live and know what to do to start a based on the home baker. In some states it is not allowed at all. Since you are a minor, if you cakes sold illegally, that their parents put a fine … sometimes up to $ 2,000 fine … or sell something and be sued by someone became ill, his parents could lose their home. That is why it is important to operate legally, because you can have business insurance and you can advertise without the health department to have after you. In addition, once you handled all the legal stuff (get your home kitchen inspected by the Health Department, take a class manager of food, buying insurance, get a handle tax, etc) have to figure out the prices of their cakes really take into account the ingredients used, along with paper goods and utilities … not fair to use its power to parents, the paper towels, soap, etc. .. without giving them something to offset the expense, assuming you are running a full-fledged business. In addition, making cakes is notoriously difficult to house plumbing for washing grease containers and equipment clogged drains of frosting. There are some people who sell cakes without going through legal means. Where I live, there are plenty of people selling cakes from home, although it is not legal. I will not even consider it, because I think it is like stealing people who have taken the time and cost to open a legal business.
